Autoclave

Autoclaves are required to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high pressure saturated steam at temperature above boiling point of water or more, typically for 15–20 minutes depending on the size of the load and the contents. Sterilisation is necessary for elimination of transmissible agents from a surface, equipment, article of food or medication or biological culture medium. Autoclaves are widely used in microbiology, medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, mycology, chiropody and prosthetic fabrication. The size and function varies depending on the media they are sterilizing.

Typical loads include laboratory glassware, surgical instruments, medical waste, patient care utensils, animal cage bedding, and Lysogenic broth.

Autoclaves are also widely used to cure composites and in the vulcanization of rubber. The high heat and pressure that autoclaves allow help to ensure that the highest possible physical properties are repeatedly attainable.

Autoclaves or Steam Sterilisers, produced by B. L. Engineering are equipped with in- built

R. O. System and P.L.C. Control. BLU-TEK Autoclaves are energy saving and maintenance free equipments which in special cases be connected with incinerator heat recovery systems, hence requiring no additional fuel supply.

The sterilizer operator interface panel comprises of the following:

·         LCD display consisting of 4 alpha numeric rows with 20 characters in each row.

·         Multi-function keys located under the display

·         Start keypad in ready position – pressing the start key activates the cycle.

·         The control and monitoring application also be performed using a touch screen can be assisted by ADMC software.
